NHLPA renews commitment to Maritime NHL’ers for Kids
Once again this year, the NHLPA Goals and Dreams program is making a significant contribution to the mission behind the Maritime NHL’ers for Kids program.
For 2011, the NHLPA will donate 25 sets of hockey equipment to the minor hockey associations in the Moncton area.
Devin Smith, Chair NHLPA Goals and Dreams Fund said, “Assisting the great work being done by the dedicated hockey supporters involved with Maritime NHL’ers for Kids is something the NHLPA Goals and Dreams program is proud to continue”.
Rick Bowness, Tournament Chair added, “The NHLPA’s donation is further assistance in breaking down the financial barriers that prevent young maritime boys and girls from playing minor hockey.” The Vancouver Canuck Coach continued “The NHLPA has been a great partner over the years and we are very appreciative of their ongoing commitments to our goals.”
Louis Gaudet, representing Moncton area minor hockey said, “This equipment will be a welcome addition to the financial contributions that result from hosting the Maritime NHL’ers for Kids in Moncton this year”
