12 Championship Winners coming to Moncton

A star-studded field of hockey champions are heading to Moncton this week to help make this year’s 12th annual Maritime NHL’ers for Kids another big success.
With preparations entering their final phases, the celebrity list of maritime hockey stars is now complete. The 2011 line-up features a total of 12 winners of hockey’s greatest championships.
Lord Stanley’s cup will have a total of 7 champions on hand. The list features current 4 members of the 2011 Champion Boston Bruins – Brad Marchand (NS), Adam McQuaid (PEI), Nathan McIver (PEI) and Andrew Bodnarchuk (NS). Rounding out the galaxy of champs are Ottawa Senator Coach Paul MacLean (Detroit 2008), scout Denis Bonvie (Chicago 2010) and Patrice Brisebois (Montreal Canadiens 1993
The AHL Calder Cup is well represented with 3 champions present - Dave Andrews (Cape Breton Oilers) and Doug Doull a two-time winner (Saint John Flames, Hershey Bears).
From the Major Junior ranks, Gerard “Turk” Gallant (PEI) and Mike Kelly (PEI) of the 2011 Memorial Cup champ Saint John Sea Dogs will be part of the festivities.
Maritime NHLer's for Kids is an annual celebrity, fundraising golf event helping to remove the financial barriers that prevent young maritime boys and girls from playing minor hockey.
